 With over 11 years in the hair industry and 8 years specialising in curly hair, Mikaela brings a wealth of knowledge, creativity, and compassion to her work. Her approach blends technical skill with a deep understanding of texture, ensuring every client feels confident and celebrated in their natural hair.  She began her career in Albury before moving to Melbourne to refine her craft at top academies including Pivot Point International, Francapelli, and La Biosthétique. Mikaela is dedicated to ongoing education, staying up to date with curl-specific methods and the latest industry trends.  In 2024, Mikaela Jane Hair was named Triple M’s Best of Bendigo and was a finalist in Be.Bendigo’s Business Excellence Awards for Trade & Construction. Mikaela’s mission is to create a safe, inclusive space where every client can unlock the full potential of their hair—curl, wave, straight, or anything in between.

 We’re so excited to welcome Jasmine, our very first apprentice, to Mikaela Jane Hair!  At just 17, Jasmine is beginning her hairdressing journey with a passion for all things curls and colour. Creative by nature, she loves drawing, watching films, and spending time with her cat Luna. She’s especially interested in curly hair care and is eager to grow her skills in a salon that celebrates texture.  Jasmine is currently training in all areas of hairdressing while gaining real experience behind the chair. You can now book her for styling services including curl diffusing, blow-drying, and iron work—offered at a discounted rate as she builds her speed and confidence.  Thanks for supporting her journey!
